Annie McKinnon makes art to share experiences and observations accessible to everyone. McKinnon has always been obsessed with sound and how it can transport time and place into a new context. Throughout 2015 and 2016 she has been working on a larger installation work made up of lots of sounds recorded around her hometown, Coonabarabran in NSW.

Out-of-Sync is a collaboration between Norie Neumark and Maria Miranda. Norie and Maria have maintained a collaborative media art practice since 1993, beginning in community radio and making CDROMs. As their practice developed they began exploring larger questions of culture and technology, with works like Shock in the Ear (1998) and Dead Centre: the body with organs (1999). In these projects they worked across media – including CDROM, radiophonic essays, installation, performance and internet works.

Patricia Adams completed her Doctor of Visual Arts at Griffith University in 2005. Her thesis explored the impact of experimental biomedical engineering techniques on expressions and representations of corporeality. Her interactive installation: “machina carnis” incorporated digital video micrograph image data of cardiac cells that she cultured in the laboratory by converting adult stem cells from her blood at the School of Biomedical sciences, The University of Queensland. She was the first artist to experiment on her own stem cells in this way.
